SEO Case Study: Ranking a Crypto Wallet Website

One of our important SEO projects was the official website of Plus Wallet, a Crypto Wallet App. It was not just a regular project, it was motivation to develop some of the SEO tools in my RankSure.io SEO toolkit.
The project’s main goals were to create engaging yet crypto beginners friendly content to get potential visitors, increase brand awareness and trust, convert potential visitors into app users. To achieve that end goal we had to remove many inline obstacles. That’s why I distributed the project in small achievable goals.
Detailed SEO Audit: Searching for the Root Causes
The app and official websites were launched in 2024 but till 2025 the main source of their visitors was paid advertisements and paid publication websites. And in organic searches they were merely ranking for their brand name and for the keywords used in the paid expensive guest post backlinks. When the client stopped their paid campaigns and gave the SEO charge in our hands it was really a challenging situation because their expensive paid articles were working like carbohydrates to give temporary ranking boost for the potential short tail keywords. but they were also draining their budget so quickly. So when they stopped the campaign their SEO rankings dropped to almost zero. And besides this, stopping the paid app store campaigns caused a remarkable drop in the new user signups.
The site was in its initial SEO state and was still in Google sandbox with zero Google rankings for organic keywords and zero app store impressions. - The website was using 100% AI generated, non-SEO content
- The keywords were not used anywhere in the website.
- The coding was using wrong heading structure.
- The images and videos were not SEO optimized
- The sitemap was missing.
- Wrong canonical tags
- 404 broken links to rename pages
- Spammed/high toxicity backlinks pointing to the site.
- The menu and internal links were not optimized
- Some inactive scripts were making the site suspicious
